HARTFORD, Conn., Oct. 1, 2026 – Nassau Financial Group (“Nassau”) today announced that Thomas Buckingham has been named President, Insurance. In this newly created role, Buckingham will lead an expanded organization encompassing all aspects of Nassau’s insurance business including product development, distribution, service, actuarial, risk, and insurance-specific legal and technology functions.
“Tom has been instrumental in building our successful fixed annuity franchise, leading the growth in sales from $240 million in 2017 to $1.9 billion in 2025 and expanding our product suite from 3 offerings to 15 today,” said Phil Gass, Chairman and CEO of Nassau. “Having worked closely with Tom since Nassau’s inception, I am excited to see him take on this expanded role as we continue to strengthen our platform and position the company for future growth.”

Buckingham previously served as Nassau’s Chief Growth Officer since 2021. He joined the company as an actuarial assistant in 1999 and has held a wide range of corporate, product development, and operational leadership roles including Chief Operating Officer. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
